Is your EA allowed at your prop firm?
Answer these questions for the exact firm, account product, size and platform. A blank answer means unverified, not permitted.
01 / Account
Which firm, product, account size and platform will run the EA? Is automation allowed on that exact combination?
02 / Ownership
Is the source code yours to use? Is the bot shared, purchased or deployed by other traders? Can you show source and development history if asked?
03 / Trade copying
Could other accounts place identical orders or mirror this account? Does the firm distinguish your own accounts from another person’s?
04 / Execution
Do HFT, server traffic, minimum holding time or prohibited strategy rules affect this implementation?
05 / Daily loss
Is the limit based on balance or equity? At what timezone and clock time does it reset? Are open positions included?
06 / News and holding
Are there restricted news windows, weekend rules or positions that must be closed at a specified time?
07 / Consistency
Is there a best-day, lot-size or other consistency condition for this exact account? How is it measured?
08 / Evidence
Have you tested a normal case, a boundary case and a failure case on the same platform and account settings?

Firm rules change. These are the original pages checked for this checklist, not a universal permission statement.
- FTMO rule page ↗
Algorithmic trading and EAs are allowed under its trading conditions. A third-party EA used by many traders can collide with the maximum capital allocation rule; hyperactive order traffic can also be challenged.
- FundedNext rule page ↗
EA use on MT4/MT5 is limited to accounts below $50,000 and requires an EA add-on fee. Accounts of $50,000 or more must be traded manually. EAs are not allowed on cTrader or Match-Trader. Eligible EAs must avoid identical trades across accounts.
- FundingPips rule page ↗
A third-party EA is normally limited to trade or risk management. The published personal-EA exception permits full automation with proof of ownership, while the Monthly Competition prohibits all EAs; the 1K Instant account has a separate exception.
- Tradeify rule page ↗
Bots require sole ownership and exclusive use within Tradeify, with no high-frequency bot. Tradeify may request proof and a live video showing the code enabled on the trader’s own computer.
