What three acceptance cases look like

These illustrate the three written checks using my own MT5 SMA example. Choose MT4 or MT5 in the free brief; your rule, broker assumptions and exact pass conditions are frozen before coding. The linked tester log proves only the MT5 positive order path; the other rows describe acceptance conditions, not observed live-account results.

Expected action

A completed H1 bar has a bullish SMA(3)/SMA(5) crossover while the EA owns a SELL.

Expected: Close that SELL first, confirm a completed retcode and position state, then open and verify the own BUY.

Must not trade

More ticks arrive on the same H1 bar without a new completed-bar crossover.

Expected: Do not send another order for that bar.

Failure path

The opposite-position close returns no completed trade retcode.

Expected: Do not submit the new BUY; report the retcode and recheck the actual position state before a later action.
